Miss Cindy's foot push against my bottom, propelling me across the room as the boot popped free.

"You have a big, muddy bootprint on your rear, Cissie. You'll have to change your uniform I guess," Miss Cindy said with a giggle. "Anyway, that was kind of fun. I'd seen servants in movies take off boots that way, and I always wondered if it worked. I guess it does, doesn't it?"

"Yes, Miss," I said as I tried not to look at Frank, who was apparently amused by the whole scene.

Miss Cindy got up and grabbed Frank's hand, pulling him up from the sofa.

"We're gonna take a shower, Cissie. Go ahead and clean the mud off our boots before it drys. Tomorrow you can give them a good polishing for us. Oh, and we tracked a bit of mud in, I think. You'll have to clean the floor in the foyer, Miss Cindy said as she breezed off to the master bedroom with her fiance' in tow.

I took the two pairs of boots into the kitchen and carefully scrapped the mud off them with an old butter knife. Then I got out a pail and went to clean up the mess the two of them had made in the foyer. I got most of the mud up, but the foyer would be to be scrubbed and waxed to really repair the damage.

"You really do have a muddy footprint on you rear, Cissie," Miss Cindy said as she padded down the hall in bare feet and a pretty silk kimono she'd recently bought. "You really will have to change your uniform."

I silently put my pail away and went to change. As I passed her in the hall, I saw that her hair was still wet from the shower. And she smelled great, like you'd expect a gorgeous young woman to smell after a nice shower.

"And start our dinner soon, Cissie. Frank and I are hungry!" Miss Cindy yelled back at me as I disappeared into my room.

I sometimes felt like leaving when stuff happened like the "boot incident." But I didn't leave. I just stayed and continued to feel more and more like a servant. It was almost like I had been born to wait on Miss Cindy. And she did little to discourage such feelings.
